V is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA) Counselor with a passion for delivering sexual health and trauma-informed therapy through a systems-oriented lens. V strongly believes in incorporating all aspects of an individual’s identity in the journey toward healing and self-love.
V focuses primarily on sex therapy, sexual health counseling, and trauma recovery work. V enjoys working with people across the lifespan who are seeking guidance and mental health support, the LGBTQ+ community, and individuals exploring relationship diversity (polyamory, ethical non-monogamy) and special sexual interests (BDSM, fetish, and kink).
V identifies as a trauma therapist, first and foremost. V has been extensively trained in trauma-informed modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, The Flash Technique, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Slaying the Dragon Framework. Additionally, as a licensed substance abuse counselor, V is also trained in substance use treatment-oriented modalities such as Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SBFT), SMART Goal Treatment Planning, and 12-Step Models. V works as a sex therapist providing psychoeducation and therapy to clients for issues related to sex-positive exploration of sexuality, relationship style, relationship structure, and kinks and fetishes. V aims to help clients in accepting and loving the parts of themselves that they have disowned or hidden throughout their lifespan due to negative influences from their families of origin, peers, and society.
V believes in creating a safe therapeutic space free of embarrassment, guilt, judgment, and shame.
