Ashley Lesovoy (she/they) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Florida and Ohio. Ashley specializes in working with LGBTQIA+ community, specifically those who identify as transgender and nonbinary. Many of Ashley’s clients seek therapy to process and heal from trauma, acquire more effective coping skills in all aspects of their lives, and gain a greater understanding and acceptance of themselves and their journeys. Ashley enjoys working with those who are neurodivergent and struggle with society’s allistic and ableist expectations. Ashley works hard to create an affirming and supportive space where clients feel safe being vulnerable.
Ashley’s approach to therapy is eclectic but has its foundations in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Trauma-Informed Care. Ashley implements an anti-capitalist and anti-oppressive framework in her practice and believes it is important to look at the systemic factors that play a role in one’s life.
Ashley’s therapeutic style is warm, humorous, and affirming. She is passionate about making mental health care accessible and safe for all individuals. In her free time, Ashley enjoys cross stitching and embroidery, hanging out with her cats, playing video games, and reading.
