I've lost count of how many times I ended up sitting in a therapist's office and feeling less human to be heard and more problem to be solved. As a trans personqueer persona neurodivergent person, finding the right therapist wasn'a matter of scheduling—it was a matter of survival, of being met where I stood without needing to translate myself or soften myself.

The truth is, therapy
has not always been safe haven for those like me. I have been misgendered. I've had my sensory needs ignored. I've been asked to explain my pronouns, my stimming, and why I don't always have eye contact—and see confusion or pity cross the face of a clinician. It is exhausting to go to a place for healing and feel like you're educating instead of being educated.

But the right therapist? That changed everything.

The
good therapist didn'accept or tolerate me—they celebrated. They understood that my neurotype and gender weren't problems to be fixed, but part of myself that required understandingbreathing room, and care. They posed questions that invited me to take up space rather than pull back. They made space for me to expound on my special interests. They acknowledged that being trans isn'traumatizing, but existing in a world that generally isn'built for us might be.

It took time. It took
experimentation. But in the end, I found a place that did not require me to make a choice between being authentic and being supported.

That
's why I'm so dedicated to what we do at Inclusive Therapy Group. We recognize that healing's not this one-size-fits-all kind of thing. Our therapists have been trained to work with trans, queer, and neurodivergent peoplemost of us live those identities ourselves. We don'repair people. We believe in witnessing, in affirming, and walking with you as you discover what healing means for you.
